Creations of Paige Reiring

Ambitious. Fearless. Writing forward.

Whether it's writing copy, researching a subject, or designing a web page, passion imbues all my work. I aim to be the best at everything that I do, and I treat every comment and critique as an opportunity to grow.

I always keep in mind that my goal is to make the world a better place, no matter what I'm working on. Having grown up as an out lesbian in rural Ohio, I know the struggles that many of us can face just in getting up in the morning.

That's why I write forward—creating for the express purpose of a better tomorrow.

Creative and Professional Works

I've worn a lot of hats—in both my professional and personal life. I've worked as a freelance writer, dog walker, and merchandising assistant. In my free time, I've played with Arduino programming, embroidery, game design, and much more. Below, you'll find a small sample of my more recent works, but these demonstrate only a fraction of what I can do.

SEO Content for an Artist

August, 2018

In this project, I utilized SEO strategies to create copy for artist April Livingston. This included information about her Cudjoe Lewis bust, her work with the Mobile Medical Museum, and her bio. I worked closely with the artist to ensure my copy matched her tone and personality while communicating the important details of her different projects.

Financial Spreadsheet

July, 2018

I created this spreadsheet when I couldn't find any financial tracking software that fit my needs. The workbook was composed of several sheets, which referenced one another in order to compile the data seen in the thumbnail. In order to accomplish this, I had to research different Microsoft Excel and programming techniques in order to get the desired result.

"Sprites and Violets"

The short story "Sprites and Violets" was published alongside the works of notable authors such as Stephen King and Antonio Simon Jr.
The work focuses on Sylvia, who lives in the Jim Crow South and finds herself falling in love with a black woman. Meanwhile, Klansmen are turning up dead around town—and Sylvia may be closer to the danger than she knows.
